At MultiScan ("we", "us", or "our"), we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it when you use the MultiScan mobile application ("Application").

1. Data We Collect and Process

Transparency is our core principle. The fundamental philosophy of our application is to process your personal data **directly on your device** instead of sending it to our servers.

A. Data Processed Only on the Device, NEVER Sent to Our Servers:

WA Web Session Data: When you use the "Web Scanner" feature, the data required for the persistence of your sessions is stored in the application's own private and protected area. This data never leaves your device.
Recovered Notification Messages: When you grant permission for the "Recover Deleted" feature, messages captured from WA notifications (sender, content, time) are saved encrypted in a local database on your device. No one, including us, can access these messages.
Status Files: Images and videos you download with the "Status Saver" are saved directly to your device's gallery. We do not have access to these files.
Chat Analysis Data: The .txt chat log files you upload to the "Chat Analysis Tool" are analyzed completely offline, using only your device's processing power. The analysis results or the content of the file are never sent over the network.
App Lock PIN: The PIN you set for the "App Lock" is stored on your device using one-way encryption (hash). This means your PIN is irreversible and cannot be seen even by us. Your biometric data is managed entirely by the Android operating system and is not accessible by the application.

B. Data Sent to Third-Party Services:

To ensure the sustainability of the application and to improve the user experience, we use trusted third-party services. These services collect anonymous data that does not personally identify you:

Google AdMob: Used to display ads within the application. AdMob may collect anonymous data, such as your advertising ID, to make ads more relevant to your interests.
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: We collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to understand application performance (e.g., which feature is used most) and to quickly detect and fix potential crashes. This data is analyzed in aggregate and is not associated with your personal identity.

C. Data Sent to Our Own Servers:

To ensure the security and stability of the application and to perform essential functions like version control, our application communicates with our own servers. During this communication, a User-Agent header containing anonymized technical information is added to each request.

            Important Clarification: The information in this User-Agent header
            (application package, version, device model, Android version, language, and anonymous device ID) is
            **strictly not** used to personally track you, create an advertising profile, or identify you. Its primary
            purposes are:
            To debug errors that occur on a specific device model or Android version.
To prevent misuse of the application and ensure API security.
To understand general usage statistics (e.g., which Android versions users have) and prioritize
                    developments accordingly.

        

D. Account and Tracking Data :

With the integration of tracking features, we may collect the following data to provide functionality:

Personal Data: Name and Email address (for account management).
Functionality Data: Online/offline status timestamps, profile picture updates, and status text changes which are monitored to provide tracking reports.

2. Permissions We Use and Their Purposes

Our application requests some permissions from you to provide its features. Each permission is used only for a specific purpose:

INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to connect to WA Web, load ads, and communicate with our servers.
USE_BIOMETRIC, VIBRATE: Required to use fingerprint authentication in the App Lock feature and to provide haptic feedback.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Required for the Status Saver feature to read WA status files and copy them to your gallery.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required to deliver important in-app notifications and tracking alerts.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: May be requested to ensure the "Recover Deleted" and tracking features can run stably in the background and to prevent Android's battery optimization from stopping the service.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Required to automatically reactivate services when you restart your device.
BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE: This is the core of the "Recover Deleted" feature. You need to manually grant this permission from Settings so we can listen to incoming notifications.

3. Data Security, Retention and Deletion

Your data security is our highest priority. All sensitive data stored on your device (recovered messages, PIN hash, etc.) is kept in the application's private storage area and is inaccessible to other applications.

You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.

Important Note on Account Deletion: When users request to delete their accounts, all personal data, except for the email address, is instantly and irretrievably deleted. The email address data is retained to ensure the security of the application and to protect against fraud, unless a specific request for its deletion is made by the user.

4. Children's Privacy

Our application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to delete such information immediately. You acknowledge and agree that the entire risk of using the service lies solely with you.

            Accuracy of Information: No guarantee is provided for the accuracy and currency of
                    the information provided by this application (including tracking reports). Users should use the
                    information provided by the application at their own risk.
Legal Responsibility: The use of this application requires compliance with all
                    local, national, and international laws. The user is solely responsible for any illegal use of the
